About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with employers recruiting Cornell Duffield Engineering students
- Advise employer partners on effective and inclusive recruitment strategies
- Identify and target prospective employers in engineering and technical sectors
- Conduct proactive employer outreach to expand Cornell’s employer base and deepen engagement
- Track and coordinate employer interactions using the university career services CRM
- Increase job posting, recruitment, and hiring activity for Cornell students and graduates
- Collaborate with the Cornell Career Development Network, employer relations team, academic departments, and student organizations
- Build partnerships supporting a “One Cornell” employer engagement strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, career services, recruitment/HR or other industry experience
- High level of interpersonal skills, including experience maintaining positive relationships with students, employers, other staff, and the public
- Excellent customer-service and communications skills
- Experience collaborating with various stakeholders in a professional setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, under pressure, and in a complex environment
- Proficient in computer software and web application skills
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office programs, Internet, web site development, and email
