About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic planning and implementation for the growth and expansion of Residential Metal Roofing within Metal Solutions
  • Manage a team of ten to thirteen sales managers across a large geographic region
  • Oversee more than $80M and aggressively grow the business
  • Establish sales targets aligned with company objectives
  • Develop strategic sales plans promoting sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with business development to maximize value from project specifications, increase close ratios, and expand margins
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on a coordinated go-to-market strategy
  • Integrate Metal Sales’ culture and processes following acquisition
  • Develop and execute the annual sales plan for the RMR organization
  • Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
  • Coach and develop the sales team on Sales Challenger methodology and CRM tools
  • Coordinate communications, sales-plan objectives, expenditures, and marketing activities
  • Coordinate growth strategies with Business Development to expand market share for metal roofing and wall products
  • Recommend sales strategies based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Lead integration initiatives supporting M&A strategy
  • Build a customer-service-focused sales culture
  • Drive sales performance through acquisition and development of talent
  • Build, develop, and manage a sales team capable of executing sales and service initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field is required
  • 10 or more years in a sales leadership role, including executive-level work experience, is required
  • Strong knowledge and experience in technical-oriented product selling
  • Equivalent experience in a similar industry or product field is preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, including ability to lead successfully in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches
  • Proven track record of leading teams to execute strategy and deliver superior results
  • Remote office location is acceptable, with frequent travel required—approximately 60% (2–3 overnights per week)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
