About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Expand and cultivate existing accounts and establish new accounts to drive sales growth
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and conduct competitive analysis
- Analyze market segments to identify growth and development opportunities
- Plan daily sales activities using CRM and a structured call frequency system
- Conduct sales promotions, educational meetings, and lead generation activities
- Customize sales presentations to increase customers’ annual sales
- Recommend pricing changes within established guidelines
- Address customer complaints, investigate issues, and recommend solutions
- Maintain customer profiles and territory/account sales records
- Travel daily within the Denver Metro/Front Range territory, with potential overnight travel during the week
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of proven direct sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
- Thorough understanding of the building products industry
- Sales management experience in dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel segments
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
- General knowledge of major competitive brands within the industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Solid time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- High level of integrity and personal motivation
- Adaptable and open to new ways of working
- Ability to remain productive during challenges
- Willingness to adapt to new processes, technologies, and ways of thinking
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work toward common goals
- Daily travel within the territory, with potential overnight travel during the week
