About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and reporting dashboards
- Design, develop, and maintain data models and feeds for report development
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analysis needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Use Power BI and SQL expertise to deliver technical solutions
- Prepare insights and conduct data analysis to answer business questions and support data-driven decision-making
- Ensure data is accurate, validated, and accessible for reporting and analysis
- Document report logic, KPI definitions, data sources, assumptions, and refresh cadence
- Manage and prioritize workload and identify process improvement opportunities
- Apply AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Support management reports, executive views, and persona-based dashboards
- Follow, learn, and share Power BI development best practices
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy policies and regulations
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies and evaluate their impact on business intelligence and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in business intelligence and reporting, with a focus on data visualization, dashboards, and reporting
- Experience across requirement analysis, solutioning, design, modeling, implementation, testing, and end-user communication
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power BI, including complex DAX, Power Query, tabular data modeling, visualizations, RLS, composite modeling, Power BI Service, and licensing
- Strong understanding of database systems, analytical processing, data modeling, and ETL/DWH frameworks
- Experience with SQL development for BI and analytics use cases, including queries, views, stored procedures, and reusable data assets
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt to changing reporting requirements, priorities, and project timelines
- Master's degree or MBA preferred
- Experience with cloud data platforms and data integration technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, AWS, or similar platforms is a plus
- Experience using AI-assisted analytics, automation, or productivity tools is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI administration/governance, REST APIs, PowerShell, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Python, or R is a plus
- Experience in end-to-end implementation projects as well as maintenance and support projects is a plus
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services industry is a plus
- Experience in Agile methodologies is preferred
- Experience working in diverse geographical, cultural, and business environments is preferred
- Certification in Microsoft Power BI or SQL is a plus
