About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide travel services for meeting and incentive attendees
- Arrange domestic and international air, rail, ground transportation, hotel, and other requested travel services
- Communicate verbally and in writing with customers about meeting or incentive trips, policies, and program parameters
- Arrange bookings including air, rail, car, car service, hotel, seat assignments, and accommodations
- Apply knowledge of international fares, pricing, travel resources, and documentation requirements
- Consult with customers while adhering to organizational guidelines
- Assist with travel changes, split forms of payment, special requests, and problem solving
- Quality-control reservations before queuing them for ticketing or quality control
- Assess information, anticipate issues, make effective decisions, and escalate to leadership when necessary
- Review, prioritize, summarize, and respond to correspondence and materials
- Maintain reservations in a completed state
- Monitor assigned queues and tasks to ensure reservations and tasks are accurate and complete
- Complete or reassign team tasks by the end of the shift
- Resolve customer service issues independently or with leadership
- Collect customer payment according to applicable travel and meeting policies and procedures
- Read daily briefings and industry announcements
- Participate in training to maintain and expand travel knowledge and customer service skills
- Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of GDS and account-specific products such as TravelQuote, Leap Advisor, Group Track, Online Booking Tools, Quality, and Banx
- Maintain productivity goals set by leadership
- Ensure strong interdepartmental communication, positive team spirit, and exemplary customer service

Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 5+ years corporate travel experience
- University travel experience is a plus
- Sabre GDS experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to read and interpret information and documents
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Proficient on GDS
- Geography knowledge
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively with all levels
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to keep business information confidential
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Appropriate and professional written and verbal communication
