About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide travel services for VIP and executive business travelers
  • Arrange domestic and international air, rail, ground transportation, car service, hotel, seat assignments, and other accommodations
  • Communicate with customers to determine destinations, transportation, dates, budgets, accommodations, and required services
  • Interpret client instructions and assemble accurate travel arrangements
  • Manage upgrades and loyalty programs and follow through on service delivery
  • Anticipate client needs and overcome unanticipated obstacles while executing accurate travel plans
  • Compute travel costs using Sabre GDS and other booking tools
  • Quality-control reservations before ticketing
  • Resolve customer service issues with leadership and vendor representatives
  • Review, prioritize, summarize, and respond to correspondence and materials
  • Communicate itineraries, fare rules, confirmation numbers, cancellation policies, upgrades, preferences, travel policies, and other necessary information
  • Monitor queues, tasks, reservations, and executive flights
  • Maintain reservations in a completed state and ensure team tasks are completed or reassigned by end of shift
  • Identify process improvement opportunities with leadership
  • Collect customer payment according to client and CTM policies
  • Read daily briefings and industry announcements
  • Maintain knowledge of GDS and account-specific tools including CTM Advisor, Online Booking Tool, iQCX, Finisher, and Banx
  • Maintain productivity goals and strong departmental communication
  • Develop relationships with executive travelers, executive assistants, clients, vendors, and suppliers
  • Book personal travel for executives, family members, and companions
  • Arrange small corporate group travel and negotiate special group rates
  • Conduct initial executive traveler profile introductions and interviews, including possible client onsite visits, and maintain profile updates
  • Provide mentoring to less experienced travel advisors
  • Work outside regular shift during special events or crises
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 2 years travel counselor experience booking corporate/business travel
  • Experience with Sabre GDS required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient on GDS
  • Working knowledge of technology and PC literacy
  • Basic math skills
  • Geography knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and information
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle simultaneous requests
