About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare the annual budget and revisions, structuring and configuring the budgeting tool
- Support managers in preparing, reviewing, critically analyzing, and consolidating budgets
- Forecast and monitor cash flow based on the approved budget
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual figures, identifying causes and required corrective actions
- Validate financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, notes to the financial statements, and cash flow statement
- Develop and monitor financial and economic performance indicators
- Prepare and analyze information for executive and board meetings
- Develop and assess scenarios, considering their impacts on results and cash flow
- Manage the Revenue and Cost Center structure and align systems and budgets accordingly
- Advise managers on the classification of revenues and expenses, budget versus actual performance, indicators, and results
- Collaborate with other departments by sharing knowledge and contributing to projects and business improvement initiatives
- Perform related activities as directed by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in controllership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with accounting and tax legislation
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Financial Management (preferred)
- Experience in companies in the electric power sector (preferred)
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
