About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the process of entering and/or classifying invoices and bills in accordance with internal procedures and applicable regulations
  • Serve internal and external clients by providing guidance and forwarding routine information
  • Support internal and external audits and official regulatory authorities
  • Calculate taxes by verifying withheld amounts, calculating amounts due, and generating payment forms
  • Ensure tax clearance certificates remain valid and up to date
  • Monitor regulatory changes and apply guidance in accordance with current legislation
  • Issue invoices for services or products
  • Issue invoices for returns, shipments, receipts, or transfers
  • Submit and fulfill ancillary tax obligations in accordance with the statutory calendar
  • Organize the department’s physical and digital files in accordance with records management procedures and Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD)
  • Monitor departmental metrics and report weaknesses and discrepancies
  • Cooperate with other company departments by sharing knowledge and experience
  • Provide support and perform related activities as directed by the immediate supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in tax accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience with Protheus and RM preferred
