Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain backend services and APIs
Develop and maintain frontend applications using TypeScript and Vue or similar frameworks
Design, implement, and maintain well-structured, testable code
Review pull requests and provide constructive, actionable feedback
Debug, refactor, and improve existing systems, including legacy components
Use AI tools across coding, debugging, and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver features and resolve issues
Establish and document engineering best practices for the team
Own problems from scoping through release, including new development and system improvements

What you’ll need

Experience writing TypeScript and modern JavaScript in production applications
Experience building frontend applications with Vue.js or a similar framework
Experience developing backend services with Node.js
Knowledge of REST APIs and software design principles
Experience with MongoDB, Redis, and relational databases
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn new systems quickly in ambiguous problem spaces
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical partners
Experience using AI tools to speed up development while maintaining code quality
Nice to have: experience with AWS, queues, or serverless systems such as Lambda
Nice to have: exposure to AI-powered or AI-adjacent systems
Nice to have: backend experience beyond Node.js, such as Python, Java, or .NET
