About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate the visitor services team
  • Contribute to the development of strategic priorities for tourism development
  • Optimize the organization’s tourist information offices
  • Prepare and manage visitor services staff schedules

  • Monitor the replenishment of tourist information materials in the offices
  • Support tourism providers in developing their skills in marketing, digital tools, sales, online services, and quality management
  • Support tourism providers with the administrative procedures involved in the creation, classification, and certification of tourist accommodations
  • Welcome visitors, provide advice, and promote the destination
  • Assist customers with digital tools and process bookings and sales
  • Promote products and oversee inventory management and replenishment in the gift shop area
  • Coordinate the use and development of Tourinsoft
  • Monitor accessibility initiatives under the Tourism & Disability label
  • Develop and implement the development strategy for the Toutourisme label
  • Update the Toutourisme guide, manage inventory and orders, promote the label, and participate in its General Meeting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum Level 5 qualification in tourism or territorial development
  • Fluency in two foreign languages is required
  • Knowledge of the local area and its characteristics
  • Proficiency in office software
  • Knowledge of the web and social media
  • Proficiency in quality procedures
  • Proficiency in regulations governing official tourism classification
  • Proficiency in Tourism & Disability classification procedures
  • Professional appearance required
  • Consistent availability to the public and willingness to represent the organization at selected events
  • Ability to adapt interpersonal skills to different stakeholders (customers, elected officials, colleagues, etc.)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Autonomy, energy, and initiative
  • Valid Category B driving licence
