About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with clients to understand requirements and advise on appropriate solution architectures
- Collaborate with Product Managers to align client needs and solution design
- Work with Delivery Managers to oversee the architecture approach during solution deployment
- Explore possibilities and creative alternatives to identify effective solutions
- Ensure solutions are implemented according to client expectations and company standards
- Identify, specify, and select off-the-shelf components to meet client needs
- Provide ongoing client support and guidance throughout implementation
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to improve solutions
- Provide design and delivery expertise for forward-looking solutions in a modern cloud-based insurance environment
- Design tailored solutions leveraging AWS and/or GCP, open-source, PaaS, and SaaS components
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 6 years of professional experience in solution architecture design and delivery roles in the insurance vertical with exposure to multiple lines of business
- Experience delivering cloud-based technology product solutions in an enterprise environment
- Ability to assist in defining and socialising a product/enterprise roadmap
- Ability to translate client requirements into actionable steps and solution architectures
- Understanding of business architecture models and patterns
- Experience designing and implementing innovative solutions to business problems
- Understanding of cloud-based applications with high availability and highly scalable solutions
- Experience designing solutions in relational database and NoSQL environments
- Experience designing API and microservices-centric environments
- Exposure to authentication and authorisation concepts, including SSO, SAML integration, and identity federation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and collect business requirements from corporate clients
- Ability to build value propositions, solution documents, and sometimes business cases for corporate clients
- Relationship management experience with corporate clients
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent decision-making and judgment skills
- Understanding of insurance business processes across all areas and at least two lines of business
- Certification in an architecture discipline such as TOGAF or Zachman is advantageous
- Certification in one cloud environment is advantageous
- High proficiency in English as the primary language
