About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare end-of-month journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide variance analysis and supplementary reporting to management and for US reporting purposes
- Manage day-to-day finances of the software business
- Support the software team on financial matters
- Own processes and P&L accounts for fixed assets and operating leases
- Load financial information into the US reporting system
- Assist with statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Assist with compliance with the global internal control framework
- Contribute to projects and business improvement initiatives
- Report to the Finance Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce
- CA/CPA qualifications or working towards
- Three years of experience within a large, commercial environment and accounting team
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to adapt communication to different internal stakeholders
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Positive, proactive attitude with focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work from either the Brisbane (Northgate) or Sydney (Erskine Park) office
- Applicants must meet applicable work authorization requirements for Australia
