About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories, primarily IT subcategories
- Build multi-year category strategies and roadmaps aligned with business and financial priorities
- Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and AI-enabled spend analytics
- Lead RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding efforts
- Manage enterprise IT renewal cycles for cloud, SaaS, networking, and telecom agreements
- Drive license rationalization, demand right-sizing, and tier optimization across the SaaS and IT portfolio
- Negotiate contracts and supplier agreements to deliver savings, improve payment terms, and support working capital goals
- Track realized and forecasted savings, cash impact, budgets, and category performance
- Identify supplier consolidation and total-cost-of-ownership optimization opportunities
- Act as a procurement liaison and trusted advisor to IT, Engineering, Security, Marketing, HR, and Legal stakeholders
- Define requirements, manage expectations, and deliver quantified procurement value through savings plans and category business reviews
- Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and corrective action plans
- Ensure contracts and purchases comply with procurement policies and internal controls
- Maintain accurate records in sourcing systems and support contract lifecycle management
- Drive continuous improvement, AI adoption, workflow automation, and procurement standardization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
- 5–7 years of procurement or sourcing experience
- At least 3 years in IT and technology sourcing, including software/SaaS licensing, cloud/hyperscaler agreements, hardware, telecom, or IT services
- Proven ability to manage category strategies, sourcing projects, and supplier negotiations
- Demonstrable track record of delivering quantified annual savings on multi-million-dollar IT and indirect spend portfolios
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and workflow automation for contract review, spend analytics, and RFP authoring
- Direct experience negotiating enterprise IT agreements with major vendors, including renewal strategy, ramped commitments, and discount structures
- Solid understanding of category management principles and sourcing best practices
- Working knowledge of IT subcategory commercial models, including SaaS licensing tiers, cloud consumption commitments, hardware lifecycle, telecom rate plans, and IT services rate cards
- Comfort using CLM platforms, AI contract review, spend analytics, and RFP automation
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of TCO, payment terms, and cash flow levers
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to use data and AI-enabled analytics tools to drive sourcing decisions and quantify savings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a lean team and adapting to changing priorities
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Travel requirement: less than 10%
- Additional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or Six Sigma are a plus
