About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the key sales contact for retaining and developing accounts, focusing on strategic growth and long-term customer relationships
  • Work alongside Veterinary Account Executives on key accounts to accelerate VetSuite adoption and shorten the sales cycle
  • Lead and support the sales team in achieving and exceeding revenue and gross profit goals
  • Leverage internal content and expertise to drive engagement activities, including webinars and optimization initiatives
  • Identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities to generate VetSuite opportunities and drive growth and adoption
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to assess, communicate, and pursue VetSuite leads; communicate leads via SFDC
  • Act as primary customer liaison for implementation and onboarding processes
  • Analyze internal reports to optimize customer utilization, identify growth opportunities, and guide sales team efforts
  • Manage and maintain customer data and updates in SFDC
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms, secure deals across product offerings, and manage contract renewals
  • Share best practices across the region and zone and drive adoption among peers
  • Perform additional duties to support team and company objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Communications, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or similar roles within the veterinary or healthcare industry
  • Proven history of consistently exceeding sales quotas and delivering on other objectives as assigned by management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization and effectively pull through business
  • Ability to understand, translate & respond to customer needs/objectives with differentiated offers and solutions
  • Advanced understanding of the sales process, client needs, and effective relationship-building strategies
  • Ability to pivot and adapt in fast-moving, agile environments and deal with business conflict
  • Ability to partner closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies
  • Advanced understanding of CRM tools functionality and practical experience managing an account and a book of business
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, requiring minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Daily travel for field visits, meetings, and training
  • Attendance at annual national and relevant regional sales meetings is required
  • Occasional night/weekend travel may be necessary
  • A valid state driver's license is required
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in a similar account management role is strongly preferred
