About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of external clients
  • Own client relationships and advocate for client needs internally
  • Drive client and revenue retention and product utilization
  • Identify customer interest in additional products and expand or upsell product functionality
  • Collaborate with other Performance Managers to provide seamless experiences for clients with multiple products
  • Manage the progress and results of assigned accounts independently
  • Engage clients through onsite visits and virtual screen-share sessions
  • Improve clients’ business processes and help them meet objectives
  • Develop action plans for at-risk clients to retain relationships
  • Identify barriers and core problems preventing clients from meeting objectives
  • Provide guidance on leveraging product capabilities to meet business objectives
  • Monitor and analyze account performance and trends
  • Monitor client system red flags and emergencies and take immediate action
  • Improve processes and systems during client engagements
  • Maintain product knowledge, including new releases and product enhancements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field; alternatives include a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience, a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years’ experience in a related field
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • At least 3 years’ recent retail automotive experience preferred
  • Experience as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Finance Manager, BDC Manager, or similar capacity preferred
  • Proven ability to influence change inside a dealership preferred
  • Direct experience desking deals in a retail automotive environment preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience in retail automotive and software utilization preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, screen-share technologies, and relevant software systems preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels at an automotive dealership or dealer group
  • Ability to work remotely, nearly autonomously under moderate supervision, and follow standard practices and procedures
  • Ability and eagerness to learn complex technology and basic understanding of web-based systems
  • Ability to travel potentially up to 50%, including in-market travel, overnight travel, and occasional weekends
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; no OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship
