About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide guidance, support, and recommendations on employee relations issues
  • Build partnerships with management, HR Business Partners, Legal, and internal teams
  • Conduct, perform, and document employee relations investigations
  • Advise and guide leaders on employee concerns and investigations
  • Partner with stakeholders on recommendations to resolve inquiries, concerns, and investigations
  • Interpret company policies and processes and promote compliance
  • Educate employees and stakeholders on policies and processes
  • Own employee relations cases in the case management system and/or Ethics Hotline
  • Document investigation findings according to best practices
  • Analyze and track employee relations trends
  • Identify areas of opportunity and improve employee engagement
  • Promote a positive and open employee relations climate
  • Assist with information gathering for legal complaints and charges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zones of the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management or a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field; alternatives include a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience, a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years’ experience in a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Direct experience handling all aspects of employee relations issues, including intake, review, and resolution
  • Advanced knowledge of workplace investigations, union avoidance, and state and federal employment laws
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and build credibility with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to advise HR Business Partners and management on resolving employee concerns and issues
  • Ability to work independently with urgency and prioritization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate data and trends
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for investigations
  • Ability to work successfully 100% remotely other than periodically required travel
  • Must clear a pre-employment drug test
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
  • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in future
