About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and supervise a team of 10 to 15+ Mobile Inspectors in a specified geographic territory
  • Ensure inspection quality and operational efficiency while maintaining accountability and operational excellence
  • Support mobile inspections, new car inspections, and floorplan audits in the designated area
  • Ensure inspections and floorplan audits meet quality, productivity, and safety objectives
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and provide ongoing support to Mobile Inspectors
  • Manage team performance using Lean Daily Management, remote and field-based audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with auctions, sales, remote dealer services, and other boundary partners
  • Partner with Dispatch and Quality Assurance teams
  • Ensure adherence to inspection processes and required disclosures and photos in the inspection application
  • Monitor inspection quality through digital and in-person audits and arbitration reviews
  • Provide coaching, corrective actions, and discipline as needed
  • Coordinate with Sales, Auction, and Remote Dealer Services teams to meet client expectations
  • Resolve issues and concerns with automotive dealers and commercial clients
  • Provide or coordinate skill-based and inspection-focused training
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and floorplan audits as needed
  • Review work volumes, staffing levels, KPIs, and Lean Daily Management metrics
  • Implement tactical plans with guidance from the Mobile Inspections Manager
  • Coach, develop, and empower team members and create a cohesive team environment
  • Procure, distribute, and track company equipment
  • Model and monitor compliance with safety and health procedures
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years relevant experience in a related field
  • One year’s experience in leading teams preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment
  • Experience with mobile inspections and/or floorplan audits preferred
  • Previous body shop, mechanical, or estimating experience preferred
  • General understanding of frame and body repairs and mechanical knowledge
  • Technical and computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, scheduling and routing software, and vehicle inspection applications
  • Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others
  • Excellent organizational, customer-focused, proactive, and team-oriented skills
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities and solve problems
  • Ability to work with remote supervision and supervise remote employees
  • Close, distance, and depth perception
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods; bend, stoop, squat, or kneel; lift and hold at least 10 lbs at waist level for an extended period; lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work around moderate noise, fumes, and odors
  • Regular exposure to outside environmental conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the region
  • Physical ability and mental acuity to execute duties within required timeframes
  • Must clear a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
