About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage the day-to-day operations of international logistics
- Coordinate between copackers, the Sales team, and management
- Prioritize shipments and bridge the gap between warehouse realities and Sales requests
- Obtain and compare daily rates from freight forwarders for sea, air, and road freight
- Book pallet shipments nationally and internationally
- Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims
- Maintain relationships with freight forwarders and carriers, manage contracts, and prepare annual rate negotiations
- Communicate with four European and three US-based warehouses
- Coordinate daily with copackers on incoming and outgoing shipments via Slack and email
- Monitor goods receipts at Amazon and resolve discrepancies through Seller Central cases
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, pro forma invoices, packing lists, and CN23 forms
- Assign and maintain HS codes for the product range
- Work with customs brokers on exports and more complex shipments
- Analyze transit times to Amazon using FBA Inbound Performance data
- Calculate shipping and transfer costs per unit
- Perform inventory adjustments in Odoo via bulk import, with particular attention to accurately maintaining lot numbers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, or a comparable qualification
- Ideally 1–3 years of professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or e-commerce fulfillment
- Basic knowledge of import and export, Incoterms, and customs clearance
- Structured and self-directed approach to work
- Calm and flexible when things do not go according to plan
- Very good German and English skills (C1)
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Experience with Odoo, Amazon Seller Central, or ShipStation is a plus, but not required
