About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate and support network infrastructure across 600+ shops and corporate locations
  • Administer Fortinet firewalls and SD-WAN connectivity
  • Support LAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure and configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, access points, and ISP/cellular circuits
  • Perform shop turn-ups, refreshes, and standard change requests using established templates and runbooks
  • Respond to network incidents and tickets, perform first- and second-level troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues
  • Assist with network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, expansions, and new site builds
  • Monitor network performance using LogicMonitor and FortiAnalyzer/FortiManager, investigate alerts, and drive issues to resolution
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP address records, and configuration standards
  • Coordinate with ISPs and carriers to open tickets, validate circuits, and resolve issues
  • Partner with IT support, security, and operations teams to maintain reliable network operations
  • Report to the Senior Network Engineer and IT Infrastructure leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent hands-on experience considered)
  • 2–4 years of experience in network administration, network operations, or a related field
  • Hands-on exposure to enterprise firewalls and multi-site connectivity
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls or comparable platforms, with willingness and ability to ramp on Fortinet
  • Working experience supporting SD-WAN environments, including basic configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting connectivity at multiple locations, including routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, protocols, and hardware
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN (IPsec), VLANs, and routing basics; OSPF and BGP exposure is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts in AWS or Azure, including VNets, route tables, NSGs, and VPN/ExpressRoute basics
  • Ability to troubleshoot common network issues and clearly communicate findings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on commitments
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and perform maintenance during and after business hours on weekdays and weekends as needed
  • Ability to attend meetings or working sessions onsite at Crash Champions locations, including corporate buildings
  • Industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4, Cisco CCNA, or CompTIA Network+/Security+ are preferred, or willingness to achieve NSE 4 within the first 12 months
  • Exposure to FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiAP
  • Experience with wireless deployments
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing tools
  • Basic scripting/automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Jinja templates
  • Exposure to VoIP/contact center connectivity and QoS
  • Awareness of PCI-DSS and security practices around segmentation, change management, and least privilege
