About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop clear, concise, and logically structured manual test scripts
Document prerequisites, test data, user roles, navigation steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteria
Maintain document control within SharePoint and Microsoft Word
Execute manual test scripts, document results, capture evidence, and report bugs with reproduction steps
Contribute to testing strategy and implementation across unit, functional, integration, performance, regression, security, and compliance testing
Maintain traceability between requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and defects
Follow testing processes and contribute to process improvement
Log, track, and retest bugs and defects in Jira
Collaborate with developers to clarify issues, troubleshoot, and verify fixes
Design and execute IT software tests and evaluate results for regulatory compliance
Design and prepare required test data
Review test results for conformance to design
Collaborate with developers, analysts, stakeholders, DevOps, UI/UX designers, and business analysts
Contribute to user tester guides for various testing audiences
Work independently and as part of a project team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be clearable for DoD Public Trust or higher
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
Minimum of 5 years of software testing experience
Experience with Jira, test case design, test planning, defect management, API testing, and performance testing
Experience with Scrum and SAFe agile frameworks
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I
Ability to work and produce results in an Agile and fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlines
Exceptional writing skills and the ability to simplify complex system processes in writing
Familiarity with basic ServiceNow navigation and general ServiceNow module concepts
Existing DoD Public Trust
Familiarity with DLA, DoD, or government project testing standards
Experience with automated testing frameworks for ServiceNow
Knowledge of APIs, JSON, and flat file data exchange
Understanding of security and compliance testing
