About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the FMS-ACES Product Office for the Army’s Foreign Military Sales case execution and management system
- Audit contractor epics, stories, and acceptance criteria against INVEST standards, DoR/DoD, and mission alignment
- Evaluate vendor sprint reviews, demonstrations, and increments against contractual requirements before government sign-off
- Partner with enterprise architects to verify throughput, data integrity, error-handling, and idempotency requirements
- Support the Product Lead in reviewing formal contractor deliverables and CDRL items
- Analyze contract deliverables and provide feedback to vendors and insights to government leads
- Lead discovery and elicitation for complex, ambiguous capabilities on the long-range solution roadmap
- Engage operational leads to translate policy mandates and CONOPS into functional baselines
- Author functional white papers, roadmaps, and user journeys
- Mentor and guide contractor Scrum and Value Stream teams in SAFe ceremonies
- Evaluate PI objectives, dependency management, and delivery confidence
- Validate system demos and guide structured root-cause analysis during I&A events
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or related analytical discipline
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in business/systems analysis or functional architecture on large enterprise software programs
- Proven track record guiding, mentoring, or assessing enterprise agile delivery and ceremonies within SAFe and Scrum frameworks
- Proven skill leading discovery, scoping, and roadmap elicitation for complex, ambiguous future-state capabilities
- Expert knowledge of user story conventions and structured acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then, Gherkin, BDD)
- Advanced proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or higher preferred)
- Ability to provide candid, evidence-based assessments of contractor deliverables without bias
- Strong executive presence to advise senior officials and guide contractor leads within non-personal services boundaries
- Ability to bridge communications between software engineers, program leadership, and end users
