About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage your own portfolio of banks and financial service providers
  • Identify new customers and decision-makers and build your own sales pipeline
  • Drive new business opportunities through to close
  • Manage selected existing customers and develop cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Analyze customer processes and challenges, such as those relating to lending, onboarding, and fraud prevention
  • Develop suitable solutions in collaboration with specialist teams
  • Translate business and technical topics into clear business cases
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial evaluations
  • Negotiate terms and close contracts
  • Win reference and pilot customers for new products
  • Feed customer feedback back to Product Management
  • Represent CRIF at industry events and panels, and write specialist articles
  • Monitor market and regulatory trends and further develop the sales organization
  • Collaborate with Senior Sales, Product Management, and international subject-matter experts on large and complex deals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed university degree or commercial vocational training with additional qualifications
  • Relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or relationship management
  • Ideally, experience with banks, financial service providers, FinTechs, or software vendors
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, such as banking, capital markets, or FinTech
  • Willingness to develop expertise in credit risk, fraud, KYC, and compliance
  • Proven experience closing deals independently and confident negotiation skills
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to explain complex topics in a structured and comprehensible way, including to C-level decision-makers
  • Persistence throughout lengthy sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Independent and collaborative working style
  • Fluent German and proficient English
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customers across Germany
