About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage relationships with CropX customers across California territory
  • Build and nurture strong, trusted customer relationships and develop a deep understanding of customer operations, business needs, and goals
  • Drive customer retention, satisfaction, and long-term value from CropX solutions
  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand CropX adoption within existing accounts, including additional products, users, acreage, and locations
  • Work closely with customers throughout the season to ensure value is delivered and address evolving needs
  • Develop account plans and maintain an accurate view of account activity, opportunities, and growth potential in the CRM
  • Serve as a key point of connection between customers and CropX, bringing customer insights and needs back into the organization
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Agronomy, Operations, Product, and R&D teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience
  • Support customer onboarding and adoption with relevant internal teams
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities to strengthen CropX's offering and regional presence
  • Manage schedule and travel effectively while working independently across the territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or a related customer-facing role within the agriculture industry, including experience working with growers and agricultural organizations in California
  • Farming knowledge and/or agronomic experience, preferably in vineyard management
  • Experience with AgTech and/or precision agriculture
  • Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify and develop expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Strong account and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to understand customer needs from both business and technical perspectives and develop trusted, long-term partnerships
  • Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, initiatives, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Independent thinking, good judgment, and a strong track record of problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings
  • Comfort with technology and the ability to demonstrate software products virtually and in person
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory, with seasonal spikes
