About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a primary agent for internal and external HR enquiries via the Freshdesk ticketing desk
  • Resolve routine HR questions and escalate complex issues appropriately
  • Support the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through employee changes, promotions, compensation updates, leave, and offboarding
  • Coordinate employee documentation, system updates, and administrative processes
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, contracts, and documentation across Humaans and other People systems
  • Conduct regular audits and data checks to identify and resolve compliance gaps or discrepancies
  • Facilitate and monitor pre-employment background checks and I-9 work authorization checks
  • Support the planning and end-to-end execution of HR programs and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline People processes
  • Coordinate collection, review, and submission of monthly payroll changes across UK, US, and Dubai regions
  • Partner with the People Team, Finance, and third-party payroll provider on payroll processing
  • Review payroll reports, validate employee changes, and reconcile discrepancies
  • Manage benefits enrollment, updates, and terminations, including pensions, medical cover, ride-to-work, gym allowances, 401(k), and FSA/HSA
  • Respond to routine payroll and benefits queries and escalate complex matters
  • Maintain payroll and benefits compliance records, audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Support HR database integrity and compliance
  • Prepare raw operational data for monthly People Pack and executive reporting suites
  • Participate in People Operations projects, process reviews, and system improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and manage competing priorities
  • Confident communication with employees, managers, and stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and support managers, including practical guidance and coaching on people-related matters
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced HR Administration, People Operations, or Payroll support role
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Practical understanding of UK payroll processes, including SSP, SMP, SPP, tax codes, and pension administration
  • Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and people systems, such as Humaans, BambooHR, or similar
  • Confidence learning and navigating new technology
  • Exceptional accuracy maintaining employee records, contracts, payroll information, and sensitive financial or people data
  • Clear, approachable, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information
