About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and run codebase analysis tools that identify security vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance
  • Integrate automated security scanning into GitHub Workflows so commits and pull requests are continuously reviewed
  • Design and build threat detection tools integrated with ELK and Grafana
  • Correlate observability signals to identify active threats in real time
  • Build or deploy AI-powered AWS perimeter monitoring for anomalous or malicious activity
  • Drive automated or semi-automated security response
  • Own security tooling from prototype through production, including reliability and false-positive monitoring
  • Partner with engineering teams to explain findings and improve tooling
  • Translate security findings into actionable remediation steps
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for security tooling architecture, code, deployment, and iteration across the retail portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including IAM, VPC, networking/security groups, and common compute/storage services
  • Experience with GitHub Workflows / GitHub Actions and CI/CD-integrated tooling
  • Practical experience using AI/LLM tools for analysis or automation tooling
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, cloud misconfigurations, and supply chain risks
  • Comfort with ELK and Grafana, including dashboards, alerts, or custom data pipelines
  • Production-quality software engineering skills in Python, Go, or similar
  • Ability to communicate security findings and translate vulnerabilities into remediation steps
  • Offensive security experience, penetration testing, red teaming, or exploit development preferred
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and automated response playbooks preferred
  • OSCP, GCIH, AWS Security Specialty, or similar certifications preferred
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation preferred
  • Familiarity with container/Kubernetes security preferred
  • Must provide a valid LinkedIn profile URL or credible alternative evidence of professional background
  • Employment is contingent on a background check, including verification of prior employment dates
  • Must be willing and able to attend a mandatory in-person interview
