Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the monthly close checklist
Reconcile bank accounts, commercial card statements, and multi-channel customer payment platforms
Own the revenue and cash cycle across payment channels, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately
Pull and analyze NetSuite data for reporting and variance analysis
Gather supporting documentation from business owners, Accounts Payable, and cross-functional teams
Support acquisition integration, internal controls, and other team projects
Identify and streamline manual processes using AI tools or automation
Maintain clean, well-documented workpapers and reconciliations for review and audit
Execute close tasks accurately and on time
Report to the Senior Accountant, with the VP of Accounting serving in the interim

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
0 to 3 years of public or corporate accounting experience; internships count
Solid US GAAP fundamentals, including accruals and account reconciliations
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
Accuracy under tight deadlines and ability to juggle multiple priorities during month-end close
Willingness to learn and curiosity about incorporating AI into accounting workflows
Able to work in-office in Cottonwood Heights, Utah on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Experience with Oracle NetSuite or another ERP system preferred
Public accounting background in audit or tax preferred
Multi-entity or consolidated accounting experience preferred
Exposure to Looker or other BI tools preferred
Retail or e-commerce industry experience preferred
Employment contingent on a background check, including verification of prior employment dates
Must participate in a mandatory in-person interview prior to an offer
