About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and maintain general ledgers for new and existing clients through transaction research and assessment of accounting treatment for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs)
Post journal entries and maintain up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of SPVs
Prepare annual statutory financial statements, including notes and disclosures under IFRS or local GAAP and relevant company law
Liaise with auditors to produce audited financial statements by statutory and other deadlines
Prepare routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables
Prepare and file VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and iXBRL-tagged financials
Resolve ad-hoc technical accounting issues by liaising with relevant parties
Work with the accounting team on process improvements and efficiencies
Develop familiarity with diverse capital markets structures and products
Work closely with senior client accountants and senior management to provide accounting and financial services for capital market transactions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant
3+ years’ experience in a relevant role in an accounting firm or financial services company
Strong technical accounting knowledge with some audit experience
Strong organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines
Team player, with strong problem solving skills
Conscientious and diligent, with high attention to detail
Professional, friendly demeanor with enthusiasm for the role
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
