About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a member of the client-facing fund services team supporting global hedge fund, private equity, and debt fund clients
  • Provide specialized accounting services for complex fund structures, multiple asset classes, and multiple jurisdictions
  • Record investor commitments and account for initial, subsequent, and late closings
  • Process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notices, wire details, and related schedules
  • Process and understand master-feeder capital transactions
  • Book trading and non-trading transactions and finalize books of accounts
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly NAV workbooks and economic allocations
  • Perform P&L rebalancing and apply European and American waterfall methods
  • Compute management fees, preferred returns, and carried interest
  • Prepare investor, fund-level, and ILPA reports
  • Interact with clients regarding accounting and operational issues
  • Handle operations and accounting for bank debts, TRS, MBS, and CLO instruments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of private equity/debt fund structures, special purpose vehicles, standalone funds, master-feeder funds, and fund-structure entities
  • Knowledge of investors’ classes, GP class, carry class, and affiliated/non-affiliated classes
  • Knowledge of investor commitments and accounting for initial, subsequent, and late closings
  • Knowledge of subscription, redemption, transfers, switches, capital calls, distributions, and master-feeder capital transactions
  • Knowledge of trading and non-trading transactions and finalizing books of accounts
  • Knowledge of monthly/quarterly NAV workbooks, economic allocations, P&L rebalancing, and European and American waterfall methods
  • Knowledge of management fees, preferred returns, and carried interest computations
  • Knowledge of internal rate of return, time-weighted return, and investment multiple ratios
  • Knowledge of investor, fund-level, and ILPA reporting; ILPA reporting optional
  • Knowledge of operations and accounting for bank debts, TRS, MBS, and CLO instruments
  • Preferred Masters in Finance & Accounting or Chartered Accountant
  • 2–10 years of experience in the Financial Services/Capital Markets industry, with a minimum of 2 years in Private Equity/Financial Reporting
  • Experience working across country lines and in a global, multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure
  • Demonstrable accomplishments relating to organizational change activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
  • Positive attitude, team-player mindset, proactive approach, and readiness to accept challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work US shift, 6pm–3am
