About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the direct financial advisor to CSC’s cybersecurity business unit
Work closely with senior management
Create detailed business plans
Identify value creation opportunities and enhance overall business performance
Gather, mine, and analyze sales and operations data
Make recommendations based on analysis conclusions
Recommend system and process improvements
Lead the business unit’s quarterly forecast and annual budget process
Plan revenue, employee expenses, non-employee expenses, and capital investments
Analyze top-line business performance
Participate in strategic initiatives
Prepare and deliver findings to senior management
Perform financial calculations
Create ad hoc reports, graphs, and charts of financial data
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards
Manage day-to-day financial operational activities for the supported business area

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years’ experience preparing / analyzing budgets and forecasts, including financial analysis / financial planning for a medium or large company
Capital investment planning, analysis and management
Bachelor’s Degree
Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends, financial modeling techniques, and emerging tools
Strong data analysis and data mining experience, including database query functionality in Microsoft Access, Business Objects, or other reporting tools
Experience working in Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase or similar financial systems
Thorough understanding of financial metrics and accounting principles
Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting standards
Expertise in Microsoft Excel; VBA preferred
Expertise in Power BI, including dashboard creation
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
Superior communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the company, especially senior management
Ability to operate independently within a team structure
Strong organizational and process improvement skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects, shift priorities, and meet deadlines
Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to the Wilmington, DE headquarters
