About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a member of the client-facing fund services team supporting global hedge fund, private equity, and debt fund clients
- Provide specialized accounting services for complex fund structures, multiple asset classes, and multiple jurisdictions
- Record investor commitments and process initial, subsequent, and late closings
- Process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, switches, capital calls, and distributions
- Prepare call and distribution notices, wire details, and related schedules
- Process and understand master-feeder capital transactions
- Book trading and non-trading transactions and finalize books of accounts
- Prepare monthly and quarterly NAV workbooks and economic allocations
- Perform P&L rebalancing and apply European and American waterfall methods
- Compute management fees, preferred returns, and carried interest
- Handle investor, fund-level, and ILPA reporting
- Interact with clients regarding accounting and operational issues
- Handle operations and accounting for bank debts, TRS, MBS, and CLO instruments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of private equity/debt fund structures, special purpose vehicles, standalone funds, and master-feeder funds
- Knowledge of investors’ classes, GP class, carry class, and affiliated/non-affiliated classes
- Knowledge of investor commitments and accounting for initial, subsequent, and late closings
- Experience processing subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, switches, capital calls, distributions, and master-feeder capital transactions
- Experience booking trading and non-trading transactions and finalizing books of accounts
- Knowledge of monthly/quarterly NAV workbooks, economic allocations, P&L rebalancing, and European and American waterfall methods
- Knowledge of management fees, preferred returns, and carried interest computations
- Knowledge of internal rate of return, time-weighted return, and investment multiple ratios
- Knowledge of investor, fund-level, and ILPA reporting; ILPA reporting optional
- Knowledge of operations and accounting for bank debts, TRS, MBS, and CLO instruments
- Preferred CA/CPA/CFA/CMA, Master’s in Finance & Accounting, or graduates
- 6–10 years of experience in the Financial Services/Capital Markets industry, with a minimum of 4+ years in Private Equity Accounting
- Experience working across country lines and in a global, multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure
- Demonstrable accomplishments relating to organizational change activities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work in global shifts
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong problem-solving skills
