About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Match and confirm trades with brokers, verify allocations and resolve pre-matching breaks before settlement
  • Drive timely settlement of listed securities and exchange-traded derivatives, investigating and rectifying fails
  • Track expiries, rolls, exercise, assignment and corporate actions affecting settlement
  • Confirm bilateral OTC trades, including swaps, options and FX forwards, and electronically cleared trades
  • Handle rejects and breaks on MarkitWire and Traiana
  • Process lifecycle events including resets, fixings, coupon and premium payments, novations, amendments and terminations
  • Calculate, issue and reconcile variation margin and independent amount under CSAs
  • Manage collateral disputes and triparty collateral, including eligibility, substitutions and movements
  • Apply ISDA, CSA and account control agreement terms
  • Process cash and collateral wires using SWIFT messages MT103, MT202 and MT5xx
  • Perform daily trade, position, cash, depot and nostro reconciliations across Geneva, brokers and custodians
  • Monitor settlement risk and corporate actions, flagging exposures and coordinating remediation
  • Resolve queries and exceptions and escalate issues promptly
  • Prepare and review fund accounting reports, NAV calculations and regulatory filings
  • Identify process gaps and implement control enhancements
  • Mentor junior team members and liaise between front-office, middle-office and external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–8 years of experience in trade matching, settlement, fund accounting or middle-office operations
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle for listed securities and OTC derivatives
  • Hands-on experience with SWIFT messaging, cash and collateral wire processing
  • Knowledge of ISDA, CSA and account control agreements, including VM and IA calculations
  • Proficiency in reconciliation tools (Geneva, CTM, Alert) and broker/custodian portals
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exposure to MarkitWire, Traiana or similar platforms is a plus
  • Graduate degree required; Master's preferred
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a focus on root-cause problem solving
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal and client-service orientation
  • Ability to work US business hours (EST/PST)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model with 3 days on-site
