About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end architecture and design of middleware messaging and streaming-based integration solutions
  • Design and deploy messaging infrastructure across multiple geographic locations and data centers
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement messaging and streaming technologies based on business and technical requirements
  • Drive event-driven architecture best practices across integration initiatives
  • Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient, geo-distributed integration designs
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance under high-volume traffic conditions
  • Design active-active and active-passive multi-datacenter topologies with automated failover and disaster recovery
  • Define and enforce standards for deployment, monitoring, and operations through automation
  • Mentor junior engineers on integration patterns, geo-distribution strategies, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong hands-on expertise in event-driven Architecture (EDA) and middleware messaging integration design patterns
  • Proven experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, and/or similar platforms
  • Solid experience with streaming-based integrations, such as Kafka Streams, Stream Native, Red Panda, or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud-native messaging services including AWS SNS/SQS, Azure Service Bus, and GCP Pub/Sub
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for messaging platforms across multi-cluster, multi-region setups
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying messaging platforms across multiple data centers and geographic regions
  • Expertise in geo-replication, cross-datacenter mirroring, and regional routing strategies
  • Ability to engineer solutions sustaining high message volumes with predictable, low-latency performance
  • Ability to design and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant, and redundant solutions
  • Experience deploying and managing components in clustered environments
  • Proficiency designing high-volume, low-latency, resilient messaging architectures
  • 10–12 years of industry experience in middleware messaging integration roles
