About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to define business requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Translate product initiatives into epics, user stories, and technical requirements
- Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog
- Lead backlog refinement sessions and support sprint planning
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop understanding of application architecture, data sources, APIs, and integrations
- Write SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support acceptance testing
- Perform user acceptance testing of features, integrations, and APIs
- Monitor data quality and validate consistency between backend systems and user-facing applications
- Partner with UX/UI and Design teams to improve user experience and product workflows
- Create acceptance criteria for functional, API, and data-related development work
- Support release readiness, documentation, release notes, and user guides
- Leverage approved AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Jira Rovo, or similar technologies to improve productivity, documentation, requirements gathering, and testing efficiency
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous learning and collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or related field preferred
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within a software development environment
- Strong experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning, and refinement sessions
- Experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements
- Strong API experience, including documenting requirements and validating integrations
- Advanced SQL experience, including data validation, troubleshooting, and exploratory analysis
- Experience with data-focused products, analytics platforms, reporting tools, or business intelligence applications
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business requirements for engineering teams
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools
- Visa sponsorship unavailable; must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Preferred: experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or regulated industries
- Preferred: experience with embedded analytics or business intelligence tools such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms
- Preferred: experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
- Preferred: familiarity with Figma and UX/UI collaboration processes
- Preferred: Product Owner, Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis certifications
