About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle coverage for the Scottsdale and North Phoenix Outpatient Care Centers
  • Accurately perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests
  • Report laboratory results within expected turnaround times to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Perform assigned equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control testing
  • Transport and process specimens for in-house and send-out testing for reference laboratories
  • Perform phlebotomy
  • Answer telephone calls and review pending logs
  • Cover other Outpatient Clinics as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Certification required (ASCP or AMT) or eligible to take exam
  • Must successfully complete certification (ASCP or AMT) within 18 months of hire
  • Must be available to cover other Outpatient Clinics as needed
  • Ability to perform routine and complex laboratory tests accurately and report results within expected turnaround times
  • Ability to perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control testing
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and specimen transport
