About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete and oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, and development
- Serve as an individual contributor on complex projects
- Maintain an excellent functional understanding of supported applications
- Direct and monitor less experienced resources and coordinate development tasks
- Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans
- Participate in systems development direction from technical analysis through user acceptance testing
- Prepare and review test data, execute detailed test plans, and complete debugging
- Evaluate complex interrelationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms
- Provide analytical consulting and leadership in implementing information technology solutions
- Prepare and review technical and functional specifications and systems documentation
- Prepare assessments, task estimates, time frames, and effort estimates
- Maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications
- Recommend new technology, policies, or processes and participate in vendor software evaluations
- Follow and promote development standards and procedures
- Support risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements
- Collaborate with management, technology personnel, clients, and vendors
- Monitor staff performance and manage project activities
- Provide backup to higher management and serve as a technical representative when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of an Associates degree and 5 years systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years systems analysis/application development experience
- Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms
- Proficiency with personal computers, project management software, word processing software, and spreadsheet software
- Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience presenting to the target audience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong lateral thinking skills
- Experience coordinating between Applications and business units
- Experience recommending and implementing systems solutions
- Experience driving project milestones and delivery dates
