  • Monitor government and private insurers and market developments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with account senior management and decision-makers

  • Provide payer-account subject matter expertise to influence broader sales and marketing strategy
  • Execute brand strategy customized to the market-access environment
  • Educate and coach field colleagues on access opportunities and challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry with a documented track record of success and first-line sales management experience preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience with government accounts and key regional payer accounts, with rare disease, hematology, and oncology experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver “clinical value first” and/or scientific product-related information to key stakeholders within key national accounts
  • Consistent track record of ensuring payer coverage and, where needed, successful contract negotiation
  • Ability to plan and analyze sales and payer data
  • Proficiency in contracting or negotiations across key government payer customers and business segments, including Commercial and Medicare
  • Strong business acumen, persuasive business communication, and presentation skills for external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, prioritization, business judgment, and opportunity identification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent collaboration and ability to work cross-functionally
