About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with internal and external Cogent stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and execute key strategies and tactics
  • Partner with external healthcare professional stakeholders at key healthcare systems and laboratories across the US to ensure treatment access and availability after FDA approval
  • Identify, profile, cultivate, and maintain long-term KOL relationships
  • Plan and execute KOL engagements and executive encounters at local, regional, and national conferences, POAs, field visits, and other venues compliantly
  • Identify and prioritize novel programming and venues for investment
  • Prioritize patient, caregiver, and HCP customer experience
  • Become embedded in target healthcare systems by delivering consistent value and differentiating Cogent from competitors
  • Support corporate and field colleagues during launch preparations and in a dynamic specialty market
  • Partner cross-functionally to execute business plans as a Customer Engagement team member
  • Develop and maintain account and contact details in CRM
  • Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements
  • Incorporate regulatory and legal compliance into daily activities and business practices
  • Report to the ED, National Precision Medicine Executives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS or healthcare equivalent degree required
  • Minimum 8+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical experience
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace
  • Deep understanding of industry and broader healthcare landscape trends
  • Minimum 5+ years of combined experience in specialty and/or rare disease; Hematology/Oncology preferred
  • Proven ability to access and influence C/D-Suite level customers
  • Collaborative and organizationally savvy team player with success in a matrixed setting
  • Strong negotiation, partnering, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage business relationships with external strategic partners
  • Prior experience working in large accounts and/or hospitals required
  • Expert ability to navigate complexities and remove barriers
  • Successful product launch experience required
  • Prior pharma/biotech start-up experience preferred
  • Prior Diagnostic/Precision Medicine experience preferred
  • Technologically savvy and committed to leveraging data and advanced analytics daily
  • Ability to travel frequently overnight, with occasional weekend travel, depending on business needs
