About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Diagnose and complete less complex repairs to generators and components at customer sites
  • Complete repair activities on generators or components
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform maintenance and repairs using diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed service records
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
  • Maintain own tools
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, minor and mid-level repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance on power generation systems, parts, and components at customer sites
  • Enhance service workshop knowledge and skills through established procedures and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A current valid license is required
  • 5-year motor vehicle report free from major violations
  • Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • 3 years driving experience
  • Compliance with DOT driving regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Basic-level field service work experience
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
  • Basic Diesel Engine experience
  • Proficient troubleshooting and repair of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
  • Ability to perform repairs on ATS systems and commission new ATS installations
