About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, develop, and implement Mechanical Engineering and power generation projects of varying complexity and size
  • Interpret technical specifications and ensure product suitability for power generation applications using mechanical, electrical, and engineering principles
  • Facilitate project planning sessions and establish project scope, objectives, performance goals, timelines, and milestones
  • Develop cross-functional schedules and track performance against goals and timelines
  • Create detailed resource plans covering expenses and headcount; allocate resources efficiently
  • Evaluate customer single-line/electrical drawings and schematics for compatibility with site conditions and generator requirements using CREO/Auto-CAD
  • Lead technical reviews to confirm equipment meets customer site requirements
  • Coordinate equipment specification adjustments
  • Liaise technically with customers, contractors, and internal engineering teams to clarify requirements and resolve project issues using Salesforce
  • Apply project planning and cross-functional knowledge to improve Manufacturing Operations Excellence
  • Use engineering diagnosis tools, including 7 step resolution process and FMEA, to identify equipment issues and minimize operational downtime
  • Coordinate PowerGen package commissioning, installation, functional testing, and safety/government compliance certifications
  • Research, evaluate, and direct service technicians through startup and equipment failure resolution
  • Coordinate seismic calculations and emissions certification applications with third-party organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of experience as a Mechanical, Project or Thermal and Systems Engineer, or related position
  • Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of experience as a Mechanical, Project or Thermal and Systems Engineer, or related position
  • Experience with Scope Management
  • Experience with schedule management tools
  • Project Resource Management
  • CREO/Auto-Cad
  • Coordinate equipment specification adjustments and lead the technical review process to confirm equipment meets customer site requirements
  • Salesforce
  • Cross-functional knowledge in designing and developing project plans
  • Engineering diagnosis tools, including 7 step resolution process and FMEA
  • PowerGen package commissioning plans, installation, functional testing, and safety/government compliance certifications including NFPA 110 and Tier 4 Source Testing
