About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review biometric screening results with participants over the phone
  • Provide members with health education on lifestyle factors affecting key health indicators
  • Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions
  • Report and audit sessions and outcomes
  • Use coaching software and tools to manage member information and track activity and outcomes
  • Develop active listening skills
  • Gain knowledge of coaching methodologies, techniques, and best practices
  • Actively participate in training sessions and apply acquired knowledge to assigned tasks
  • Collaborate with fellow Health Educators to share insights, exchange feedback, and improve coaching effectiveness and member outcomes
  • Perform additional functions and responsibilities as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Trained in coaching competencies, theories, and methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in health-related field
  • NBC-HWC preferred or obtain within 18 months of hire
  • Experience with clinical health education, weight loss management, nutrition, tobacco cessation, stress management, and physical activity
  • Understanding of biometric results including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BF/BMI, and related measures
  • Experience speaking in front of live and remote audiences for an extended period
  • Experience planning, developing, and designing health education presentations and programs
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to speak, demonstrate, and operate remote viewing technology simultaneously
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Primary fluency or bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish interchangeably is strongly preferred
