About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage project schedules that visually organize required project tasks, track project progress, identify schedule risks, and guide project execution
  • Support Operations Planning & Control, Project Teams, and Operations with detailed Critical Chain project schedules
  • Utilize Theory of Constraints methodology to identify project and shop constraints and incorporate their impacts into project schedules
  • Identify and help mitigate project risks, including project set-up activities, material delays, and manufacturing prerequisites
  • Determine and manage project schedule buffers to protect customer commitment dates
  • Measure and analyze project buffer status to monitor schedule health and identify recovery actions
  • Lead and participate in Project Team meetings to communicate schedule health and identify upcoming tasks and risks
  • Track project prerequisite activities, work order status, and material shortages to ensure on-time task starts
  • Provide Project/Program Management with inputs on upcoming invoice points and budgeted shop-hour projections
  • Align project schedule completion dates with ERP/MRP schedule dates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or other related disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Microsoft Project and other MS Office programs
  • Understanding of MRP/CRP principles, Bills of Materials, Routings, Manufacturing processes, Theory of Constraints and Critical Chain Schedules
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to utilize statistical data analysis and other problem-solving skills to break down issues, interpret data, and provide recommended actions
  • Candidates must be US citizens due to DoD requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
