About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform full cycle accounting, including analysis of accounts and accounting transactions
Prepare and assist with cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and reconciliations
Prioritize and maintain organization of a high-volume workload for multiple clients
Prepare and review comprehensive financial reporting packages timely and accurately
Apply procedures for preparation of accounting records, transaction research, and reporting
Prepare and review fixed asset ledgers
Calculate and record straight-line rent based on client preferences
Apply company financial policies and procedures and report inconsistencies and problems to management
Research, analyze, communicate, and appropriately escalate basic accounting issues
Communicate and collaborate with clients and property management
Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and information
Perform other related duties as required or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

College degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
Requires some experience, but less than one year or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience with accounting or database software packages preferred
Basic knowledge of commercial real estate preferred
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to perform full cycle accounting, including analysis of accounts or accounting transactions
Ability to prepare financial reporting packages in accordance with internal controls and client requirements
Ability to manage a high-volume workload for multiple clients
Knowledge of appropriate accounting procedures and financial policies
Ability to research, analyze, communicate, and escalate accounting issues appropriately
Ability to collaborate with clients and property management
Ability to comply with and assist with internal and external audits
