About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping
- Respond to resident requests in a timely and professional manner
- Deliver quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to residents
- Apply maintenance knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, general carpentry, painting, and snow removal where applicable
- Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities so they remain clean, operational, and safe
- Participate in on-call scheduling for after-hours emergencies as required
- Report maintenance concerns in vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Perform maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Apply state, local, and federal fair housing laws
- Attend and participate in required Cushman & Wakefield training programs
- Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally
- Follow uniform, appearance, safety, tool, and equipment standards
- Maintain reliable and punctual on-site attendance
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Driver's license
- EPA 608 - Minimum Type II
- CPO or local city required certificate
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school
- 1+ years of related experience
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to handle routine problems involving several known variables
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions using common sense
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
- Ability to work on-site and travel between properties in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods, ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools
- Ability to remain stationary (sit or stand) for 85% of the time and operate office machinery
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
