About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of facilities, high-rise buildings or campuses, including custodial, life-safety, engineering and general maintenance services
  • Manage service contracts, service delivery, performance reviews, financial reviews, RFPs, payments and invoicing
  • Lead the facility management team in maintenance programs for interior and exterior facilities
  • Ensure prompt and positive responses to client and tenant requests
  • Review contracts and assess client, tenant and occupant needs
  • Prepare and deliver consolidated budget, financial, contract, expenditure and purchase-order reporting
  • Develop and explain annual facility budgets, quarterly forecasts and business plans
  • Assist with capital budgets and five-year maintenance, facility improvement and cost-reduction plans
  • Coordinate collection, analysis and reporting of facility-management statistics, work-order productivity, cost savings and improvements
  • Review work-order metrics to identify service gaps and recurring issues and provide corrective actions
  • Approve positions and direct hiring, training, motivation and performance evaluations of facility-management staff
  • Manage customer focus and relationships with key client contacts
  • Drive innovation, best practices, operational efficiency and service improvements
  • Ensure tenants and vendors comply with insurance requirements and coordinate claims
  • Serve as primary client liaison and oversee overall financial and KPI performance of the portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management or Business Administration required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of facility management experience
  • At least 3 years at the level of Facility Manager
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation and building management
  • Experience with human resource and performance management processes
  • Experience with critical system environments preferred
  • CMMS/Work Order Management experience preferred
  • Communication proficiency (oral and written)
