About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of facilities, including custodial, life-safety, engineering and general maintenance services
  • Manage service contracts, service delivery, performance and financial reviews, RFPs, payments and invoicing
  • Lead the facility management team in maintenance programs for facility interiors, exteriors and operations
  • Ensure prompt responses to client and tenant requests
  • Review contracts and assess client, tenant and occupant needs
  • Prepare consolidated budget, financial, contract, expenditure and purchase order reporting
  • Develop annual facility budgets, quarterly forecasts and business plans
  • Assist with capital budgets and five-year maintenance, improvement and cost-reduction plans
  • Coordinate facility management statistical data, work order metrics, cost savings and corrective actions
  • Approve positions and direct hiring, training, employee relations and performance evaluations
  • Manage customer focus and relationships with key client contacts
  • Drive innovation, best practices, operational efficiency and industry trend adoption
  • Ensure tenants and vendors comply with insurance requirements and coordinate claims

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management or Business Administration required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of facility management experience with at least 3 years at the level of Facility Manager
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation and building management
  • Experience with human resource and performance management processes
