About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide transactional legal support for various service lines including Procurement, Asset Services, and Global Occupier Services
  • Implement and promote contracting operational efficiencies across the enterprise
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume of commercial contracts
  • Analyze commercial contracts and related documents to ensure terms align with business objectives, policies, laws, and regulations
  • Identify and mitigate risks in vendor agreements, agency agreements, engagement letters, and other real estate and commercial contracts
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and internal policy changes
  • Update attorneys and contract templates as needed to ensure compliance
  • Contribute to operational improvements and best practices for contract workflows, templates, and efficient contract handling
  • Collaborate with team attorneys to share best practices and document negotiation and risk management strategies
  • Advise internal clients regarding policies and contracts
  • Support attorneys with developing and updating training materials
  • Report to the Assistant General Counsel and leader of the C&W Contracting Centre of Excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, real estate, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience independently negotiating and managing processes for complex commercial contracts
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts
  • Experience negotiating technology contracts is a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative thinking, flexibility, and drive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to initiate, drive, and promote change management with respect to contracting processes and approach
  • Ability to multitask and successfully manage competing priorities
  • Expert in managing contract lifecycle and related systems
  • Expert in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong AI fluency or willingness to become proficient to permit integration of AI into daily work
