About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end-to-end design process, including client programming, space planning, occupancy analysis, and comprehensive design document creation
  • Collaborate directly with clients to translate operational needs and brand standards into functional layouts
  • Mentor junior designers and support onboarding and training of new Project Designers
  • Partner with internal teams, external consultants, and project managers to ensure design integrity and seamless delivery
  • Maintain quality control and compliance with accessibility standards, building codes, and life safety regulations
  • Manage schedules and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects
  • Pivot between projects to meet milestones without sacrificing design quality
  • Maintain current knowledge of design methodologies and technology to drive efficiency and innovation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA or NAAB-accredited institution
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the design and construction industry
  • Proven track record of managing commercial or corporate projects independently
  • Professional-level proficiency in Revit
  • Working understanding of building codes
  • Working understanding of standard construction principles
  • Working understanding of commercial interior design best practices
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and time-management skills
  • Ability to confidently communicate design concepts to corporate stakeholders
