About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct thorough property research using public records, MLS databases, tax assessor websites, and other relevant resources
  • Investigate property characteristics, zoning information, sales history, market trends, and factors influencing property value
  • Gather and organize comparable-property, market-condition, and valuation data
  • Summarize research findings for appraisers
  • Enter researched data into appraisal software accurately and completely
  • Support appraisers in formatting and structuring reports according to company standards
  • Prepare current market reports as needed
  • Monitor local real estate market trends and regulatory changes
  • Analyze market shifts and report findings to senior appraisers
  • Collaborate with appraisers to collect, document, and provide required property data
  • Maintain property files, research notes, and databases
  • Review data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness and address discrepancies
  • Interact with clients, property owners, or other stakeholders when applicable to gather additional details or clarification
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree; industry-related field preferred
  • A minimum of 1+ year of experience in real estate research and/or market analysis required
  • Experience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecasting
  • Strong data software applications skills
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
