About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead AI Materials Foundry programs across a global network of industry and laboratory partners toward materials discovery
  • Translate scientific and business objectives into executable plans aligned across commercial, research, and engineering teams
  • Own planning and delivery of Foundry initiatives and events, including resources, dependencies, timelines, and risks
  • Lead technical programs with industry partners and research institutions as the primary program contact during execution and delivery
  • Facilitate technical discussions between internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Drive project scoping and proposal writing with partnerships and technical teams
  • Manage joint development initiatives and customer pilot programs from conception through deployment
  • Refine scalable processes with the global TPM team
  • Implement metrics for tracking milestones and program outcomes
  • Coordinate compliance and regulatory considerations across programs
  • Support intellectual property and scientific publication processes
  • Foster interdisciplinary team culture and lead change management while scaling the organization
  • Use data to continuously improve internal and customer-facing processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong background in Natural Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager in a scientific or AI/ML environment
  • Ability to navigate high levels of ambiguity and maintain cohesion across AI, Chemistry, and Engineering teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with technical researchers and non-technical partners at varying seniority levels
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and facilitation capabilities for cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing technical external-facing customer projects
  • Practical experience or academic background in Materials Science, Experimental Chemistry, or Physics (bonus)
  • Experience managing joint ecosystem programs alongside companies such as NVIDIA or Meta (bonus)
  • Professional experience in a semiconductor foundry, design firm, or electronics materials supplier (bonus)
  • Technical fluency across model architecture, cloud infrastructure, and the software development lifecycle (bonus)
  • Experience with molecular simulation software, quantum chemistry packages, or cheminformatics tools (bonus)
