Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years building scalable, distributed systems in Go or similar statically typed languages, including several years as an architecture resource
- Depth across multiple systems or domains
- Track record of designing for production reality and quantifying throughput, cost, and reliability tradeoffs
- Experience designing observability and recovery, including metrics, alerting, rollback, backpressure, and checkpointing
- Comfort with cloud-native environments, AWS, GCP, relational databases, and MySQL
- Understanding of performance tradeoffs
- Evidence of improving other engineers through mentorship, technical writing, design review, and durable standards
- Bias for action and judgment about which decisions warrant slowing down
- Successful completion of background check and employment verifications
